To apply route preferences, follow these steps:

• Open the HERE WeGo app
• Select your final destination 
• Calculate your route by clicking on 'Directions' 
• Click on 'Route preferences' on the top right corner of the bottom bar (where the route alternatives are shown)
• The app will display several options you can apply to your route (ie, fastest/shortest, real-time/automatically rerouting, settings a maximum vehicle speed, avoidance options*) 
• Select the ones you'd like to apply to your journey 
• Close the 'Route preferences' tab
• Start your navigation by clicking on the blue arrow

*avoidance options include: avoid highways, avoid toll roads, avoid U-turns, avoid ferries, avoid tunnels and avoid unpaved roads.
